Pietrasanta in Concerto
At the crossroads of the world

This year, the Festival’s focus on the violin and violinists will make it an international hub of cultural exchanges, more than ever.

If all roads lead to Rome, they certainly pass through Pietrasanta, where our Festival is honored to host the Jerusalem International Chamber Music Festival  in a first and precious collaboration with the thrice holy city.

Also from the Holy Land, the great Maxim Vengerov will return to us, bringing with him Brahms and the amazing Denis Kozhukhin, a partnership not to be missed!

Another legendary city coming to us this year is Odessa, Ukraine. After having shown our solidarity towards the war refugees this winter, we welcome Alexey Botvinov, Pavel Vernikov and Aleksey Semenenko, three great musicians from the quintessentially musical city.

The road from neighbouring Switzerland will bring us the Menuhin Academy Soloists and their star mentor and soloist, Renaud Capuçon. Joining that road from Milano, the soprano Laure Barras and her friends will bring the world of Italian opera to nearby Camaiore and its beautiful Teatro dell’Olivo.

Brussels, capital of Europe and the birthplace of the modern violin school, will be the departing point for the Brussels Chamber Orchestra and the dynamic Marc Bouchkov, a favorite of our public.
From China originally, the great cellist Jing Zhao, also a resident of Pietrasanta, will bring the indomitable majesty of the great Empire to our stage.

Tango musicians will be flying in from Argentina and Paris, and from nearby Milano, we will welcome Maestro Salvatore Accardo leading the Italian Chamber Orchestra, followed by Soloists of La Scala.

Even closer from us, the Cameristi del Maggio Musicale Florentino, will join us with the magic flute of Andrea Griminelli, whose enchanting melodies will conclude our Festival.

These great musicians not only pass through our beautiful town, they leave a lasting mark here, enhancing and enriching our lives, and depart having been deeply touched by the beauty and uniqueness of Pietrasanta.
This summer of 2022, the world is coming to Pietrasanta, once more!

You have a choice of buying your tickets(s) either online or from one of the points of sale in Pietrasanta. You may prefer the online option if you are planning your evening(s) ahead of time or if you are simply not based in Pietrasanta. And of course it’d guarantee your attendance as the cloister has a limited number of seats, in particular during these challenging times.

The enthusiasm of our public has been great over the years, and its support allows us to survive and prosper.
Once again this year, the Festival will feature world class artists, and needless to say, your support will be of utmost importance to decide the future of the Festival.
